5 minute Salted Caramel Sauce


I couldn't believe how easy this recipe is, I read it on pinchofyum.com and was like...whaaat? It's naturally gluten-free, dairy-free and again, super easy to make, seriously. Easier than Vegemite toast, a lot of people screw up the ratios with that.

Cook time: 5 mins (read the title dumb dumb)

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of coconut oil

1/2 cup of maple syrup

1 tsp of vanilla essence

1/2 tsp of salt

1/3 cup of dairy-free butter

Method:

1. Place the coconut oil and maple syrup in a some sort of container and melt together in the microwave or stove or body heat...body-heat will take a while which defeats the purpose of this quick recipe, the others will take about a 1 minute.

2. Add vanilla and salt.

3. While its still warm whisk in the butter. I find it helps to gyrate your hips while whisking......did you do it? nice work! Speak like no one is listening, jump like there is no ceiling and cook like no one is watching.

4. Anyways...it should come together quite smoothly and be a velvet (said with a yiddish accent) texture. You can do with it what you want! Use on ice cream, toast or just your bare-naked fingers!
